I bought this for my husband's ongoing issues of plantar fasciitis and ankle gout. So far he is using every night before bed on Red & NIR for 20 minutes. It appears to be helping. I use NovaaLab because I am retired nurse, well aware it needs to be FDA Type II medical device grade to be effective. My only concern is affordability. I did manage to get a sale. We wrap a towel around the top of boot to cover red light while in use.

I use the following red light devices from Novaalab to treat my sciatica pain: the belt/pad (placed against the lower back and then the thigh and also the calf), the knee wrap, and the boot. All three devices have significantly improved my pain symptoms. Used 2x daily on lower back, knee, and foot. Used once a day on calf and thighs (hamstrings and quads). In addition, I also do strength/weight training and reformer pilates with a physical therapist). With this nonsurgical protocol, my pain symptoms have decreased to the point that I no longer take Advil. For pain flare ups, I augment with a PEMF loop and pad purchased from Assisi Loop (midday) for 15 minutes.
